No Man’s Sky New Update “Visions” Released

A new update to No Man’s Sky called “Visions” has been released across all platforms. The update introduces new environmental biomes, new planet types, more colorful worlds, and much more.

More information detailed directly below:

New Worlds

The variety and diversity of planet surfaces has been greatly improved. Millions of previously dead planets have now burst into life, creating a weirder, more surprising universe to explore.

Mysterious artifacts can be found on alien planets, which can be collected as mementos and displayed as trophies in your planetary base.

Bizarre Creatures

Strange new creatures can be found among the stars, never before discovered by another traveller. Predatory fauna protect their planets from interlopers, with some creatures even masquerading as ordinary minerals. Deadly flora now has much more variety, with carnivorous trap plants and bloated gas flora waiting to snare the unwary and reward the cautious.

More to Discover

With more varied planets comes more reasons to explore. Unleash your inner archeologist and search the galaxy for planets containing the ancient bones of alien lifeforms.
Unearth the long-forgotten remains of fallen satellites and scrap them for salvagable parts, but risk drawing the attention of new, challenging, corrupted sentinel drones.

Those who endure the hazardous storms that blast extreme planets can seek out precious new crystal treasures that only light up during the worst weather.

More Variety

The universe has become more alien, vibrant and exciting to explore. New shades of sky, grass, and water enable more unique worlds and a more diverse set of science fiction aesthetics. Atmospherics and skies have been improved and rainbows have been added to the range of weather effects.

A new Community Research mission allows explorers to share progress and work towards a common goal. Discover the Visions universe together to unlock the new Eye of the Korvax helmet, as well as well as new emotes, building parts and a range of fireworks to celebrate any occasion.

We hope you enjoy this and what follows — and we look forward to meeting you out there! Our journey continues.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Nov. 21 Update Notes

Treyarch has released their latest update to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This update brings the first QUAD FEED event which provides players with 2XP in Multiplayer and Zombies, 2X Tier Boost, 2X Merits, and 2X Nebulium Plasma. Adjustments to spawns, an Auto-Mantle option, and more.

UPDATE NOTES:

Update [7PM PT Nov. 21]: We’ve added some additional changes to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout today on PS4 and Xbox One, with PC to follow shortly. See below for details.

It’s Quad Feed time! Now live on all platforms, everyone gets 2XP in MP and Zombies, 2X Tier Boost, 2X Merits, and 2X Nebulium Plasma through 10AM PT Monday, Nov. 26. We love a long holiday weekend, and what better way to celebrate?

Also in today’s game update, we’ve made two highly-requested changes: adjustments to spawns in round-based respawn modes on all platforms, and an option to toggle Auto Mantle (now live on PS4 and Xbox, coming soon on PC). Here’s a note on each from the dev team:

Spawns

We’ve identified and resolved an issue with the spawn logic in round-based respawn game modes. This specific issue particularly affected Domination and Control after the first round, in which the spawn system would improperly assess enemy proximity when selecting a respawn location. While this doesn’t resolve all issues that we’re currently tracking to improve with the spawn system, it should reduce the overall percentage of bad spawns experienced in these modes, specifically in rounds two and higher.

Auto Mantle Toggle

We’ve added an option to toggle Auto Mantle in the Controls options menu, now set to “Off” by default. Toggling Auto Mantle on will allow you to mantle without pressing the jump button again when jumping toward a surface that you intend to mantle onto. Toggling Auto Mantle off will require you to hold the jump button to mantle onto your intended surface, or press the jump button once you’ve reached the surface you intend to mantle onto.

Speaking of movement options, we’ve also heard the requests for an Auto-Sprint option for console players, and are currently working on getting that into the game after it’s been put through proper testing. When enabled, this will allow you to double-click your left analog stick to allow your character to automatically sprint without further input. Keep an eye out for future announcements regarding this feature.

Our latest PC title update also went live earlier today, which includes yesterday’s global changes as well as PC-exclusive updates. Get the full details at our dedicated PC community update. Now, onto what’s new today…

Hitman 2 – Nov. 20 Update Notes (2.11)

The first update to Hitman 2 has been released. This update brings game improvements, elusive target rewards, fixes to the legacy pack, PC specific fixes and much more.

PATCH NOTES:

The 2.11 update addresses multiple issues that have been reported by our community in the first week of release. We’ve also included a ton of improvements that didn’t quite make it into the game for launch.

What’s Changing?

Overall Game Improvements
We’ve made hundreds of improvements, fixes and tweaks to the entire game across all disciplines. These improvements will greatly improve the experience of playing HITMAN 2.

The Undying Elusive Target
The first Elusive Target for HITMAN 2 goes live at 5pm UTC on November 20 and will run for 14 days.

Elusive Target Rewards Challenges
We’re adding the challenges that will unlock Elusive Target Rewards, including the Explosive Pen for The Undying mission as well as the suit unlocks. See our HITMAN 2 Elusive Target Rewards Blog Post for full details on what can be unlocked and how.

Silent Target Assassin
The knowledge of a target will no longer count against the Silent Assassin rating. To clarify, if a target spots you before you kill them, the SA rating is still awarded. However, if the target’s knowledge is shared to any other NPC, the SA rating is not awarded.

Mission Story Consistency
We’ve fixed multiple issues across different Mission Stories in the game, where characters might suspend their routine, required items are unusable, etc.

Floating Targets
Alma and Sean 2 will no longer float in their bed in Hawke’s Bay.

Press X to…
We’ve fixed an issue where multiple, overlapping prompts could appear on an NPC depending on what 47 was carrying.

Difficulty HUD Default
The ‘Difficulty HUD’ option will now be defaulted to OFF. It can be toggled to ON in the Gameplay Options.

Clip Out
We’ve fixed multiple issues across the game where 47 could get stuck in cover, clip into cover, NPC’s get stuck in doors and other related issues.

Water Improvements
We’ve improved the fidelity of some of the water in Santa Fortuna, so it now moves more realistically and includes foam. We’ve also tweaked the water you can see on the horizon in some levels to look more realistic.

Objective Icons
We’ve tweaked the icons for objectives so that they accurately show what you’re supposed to do. For example, the ‘Locate Exit’ objective will no longer be displayed with a ‘target kill’ icon.

Crash Fixes
We’ve fixed various issues that were causing crashes on all three platforms.

Escalation Situation
We’ve fixed an issue that could prevent the ‘Silent Escalation’ Challenge from completing, despite players completing the requirements.

Briefcase Blending
We’ve fixed a visual issue that would occur when Agent 47 would start a mission in a blend-in pose and hold the briefcase. He’s probably just happy that it’s back again and doesn’t want to let it go. Either way, the briefcase will now start next to 47, rather than in his hands.

Out of This World
We’ve fixed various issues where players could get ‘out of world’ or (leave the playable space) or see out of world by moving the camera in certain ways in certain players.

Camera Crasher
We’ve made a change to the destruction of security cameras, where they can no longer be destroyed by a thrown heavy item.

Considerate Assassin
We’ve fixed an issue where the ICA Tripwire Mine would behave erratically if placed in an Agency Pickup. Essentially, the mine would be activated before 47 could pick it up and it would kill him if he tried.

Long Way to Go
We’ve fixed an issue where the target in Hawke’s Bay would not report a found weapon to the closest guard. Now she does.

Trophies / Achievements Polish
We’ve taken the Opportunity to ensure Mission Stories are accurately described in our trophies / achievements. We’ve updated some of the artwork too.

Ghost Mode Communication
We’ve made various improvements to the communication around Ghost Mode, including an addition that occurs if you get disconnected from your opponent during a match where we now let you know that was why the matched ended. We’ve also made sure that all suits will display on the end-match screen.

Boot Flow
Although we recommend that you watch them, we’ve made it possible to get into the game faster by skipping the videos in the boot flow. We have also made minor adjustments to the Privacy Policy that is shown when launching the game, to clarify which sections are relevant for playing the game. The full policy can still be viewed on our website.

The Source Search
We’ve added The Source mission to the Contracts Search options. It should have always been there.

UI_Contract_Desc
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause a mission description to appear in coded text.

NAT Today
The Lobby screens for Ghost Mode and Sniper Assassin will now display NAT Type information for players with a Type 2 or 3 connection.

Find 47
The in-game Notebook Map now auto-centres on 47 everytime it is opened. Previously, it could retain the previous position and make it difficult to find your location.

Infinite Training
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause infinite loading in the ICA Facility if a player skips an exit cinematic at a specific time.

Completionist
We’ve fixed an issue that could prevent the ‘Smells Like Nail Polish’ challenge from unlocking in Hawke’s Bay, and therefore preventing the Completionist trophy/achievement from unlocking.

LOC down
We’ve fixed an issue with the challenge descriptions not matching their image for users playing in Italian, German, Brasilian and Japanese.

Arrivederci Regionale Prima
Readership was down for the Regionale Prima in Mumbai. As of today, the “आज का भारत” newspaper will be in circulation instead. The Regionale Prima will still be published in Sapienza.

Legacy Pack Specific Issues:

Headmaster’s Revenge
To resolve a few issues, we’ve simplified the Headmaster’s Revenge challenge to simply require players to eliminate the Reza Zeydan whilst disguised as the Headmaster.

Rooftop Guard
That guard in Colorado who could end up on the rooftop of the mansion has been asked to come down. He complied.

Trespassing Makeover
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause 47 to be trespassing while following the doctor during the ‘Makeover’ Mission Story.

Frequently Answered Questions
We strongly recommend that any players who are having issues with the Legacy Pack check the Legacy Pack FAQ.

PC Specific Issues:

Bullet Decals
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause graphical corruption when shooting in the same place multiples times, especially on wooden surfaces.

PC optimizations
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause frame rate drops and sound distortion on machines with a low number of CPU cores.

Simulation Quality
We’ve added an option under Graphics called ‘Simulation Quality’, which will improve the amount and fidelity of crowds, cloth, destruction and particles system, depending on your CPU. The visual content only applies to the main campaign missions in Miami and Mumbai. The Simulation Quality option also affects audio across all game content.

This setting has three options; Base (CPUs with 4 cores or fewer), Better (CPUs with 6 cores) and Best (CPUs with 8 cores or more).

Hotfix Reminder
We released a hotfix for PC last week that fixed the below two issues:

HDR Fix
We’ve made a change to our HDR setup on PC. It is now possible to play HITMAN 2 in HDR in Exclusive Fullscreen. For this to work, it is necessary to disable the ‘HDR and WCG’ option in Windows 10 under the ‘Display’ menu. We’re continuing to work on and improve this feature in future updates.

Phenom CPU Fix
We’ve fixed an issue that could cause players with an AMD Phenom CPU to crash to desktop when launching a HITMAN 2 mission. This issue should no longer occur.

Known Issues (Reported by the Community):

We are reading and tracking all feedback related to HITMAN 2. As part of these release notes, we wanted to give you an idea of just a few points that we see lots of discussion about, just so that you know that we know. You know? Looking ahead, we’re already hard at work on our next update, 2.12, which we aim to release in December.

  • Location Mastery trophies/achievements do not unlock after earning Mastery outside of that locations main campaign mission.
  • The Kalmer-1 Tranquilizer gun loses ammo when reloading a save game.
  • The ‘Autosave allowed’ icon cannot be toggled off.
  • The new ‘homing’ ability of 47’s briefcase is not strong enough and does not target multiple NPCs.
  • Certain NPCs can stagger when shot and get caught in specific walls.
  • 47’s shadow is missing on certain suits.
